Educational Year Physical Theatre
10 months physical theatre education
The Educational Year Physical Theatre is aimed at people who want to explore the diversity of physical theatre in all its depth. The focus is on the body as a means of expression. In an intensive and varied program of practical and theoretical workshops, participants explore, train, and refine their bodies together.
The spectrum ranges from physical training, mime, clowning, and mask play to vocal work and contemporary dance to improvisation, composition, and individual and partner acrobatics. You will explore both the dramatic and humorous dimensions of performance, work with objects, and discover public space as a stage.
Historical traditions are combined with contemporary approaches, opening up new avenues for your own artistic practice.

Basic information on the structure of the EDUCATIONAL YEAR PHYSICAL THEATRE
The EDUCATIONAL YEAR PHYSICAL THEATRE is divided into 5 phases.
Phase 1 - A lot of training but also theory - When the head is well filled, the body also works better and creativity can unfold in the best possible way. As we consider theoretical backgrounds to be very important for movement artists, there are basic theoretical seminars
Phase 2 - build-up phase - finding a group, lots of training, exploring the body, your own limits and possibilities... sweat, perform, grow! The open days, the big improv jam session, a workshop performance, start planning your own pieces
Phase 3 - Working with artists - lots of training, and the development of several stage pieces for the final performance with various professional artists
Phase 4 - Training, training, training! - Intensive group-related training, space and time to realize your own artistic projects, group trip
Phase 5 - Creation phase - In the final phase, the individual pieces are developed, rehearsed and brought together with the group pieces to create a full-length final performance - the KONDENSAT. Experiencing the stage together is a central component of the Physical Theater educational year.
