A platform for work-in-progress and new artistic ideas
The Backfertig OPEN STAGE invites artists from dance, physical theatre, acting, music and circus to present short pieces in an informal setting. Whether experienced professionals or newcomers — this open stage in Berlin offers the opportunity to show work-in-progress, test material in front of an audience and engage in artistic exchange. The focus is on the experiment. After the performances, artists and audiences will reflect on the work in a moderated feedback session.
The format is open to freelance artists and performers who work in the following areas:
Completed works are welcome, but the format explicitly promotes artistic experiment and unfinished sketches.
Our team provides support with sound and light. Due to the large number of contributions, we ask for simple technical setups. All participating artists should set aside the entire day for stage rehearsals.
