Overview: Arts Management & Creative Producing Course

The Production / Creation / Administration (PCA) program is a practical arts management and creative producing course designed for artists and producers in the independent scene. It is aimed at anyone who wants to dive deep into project management for artists and administrative practice in the performing arts—whether for their own artistic work, within a collective, or as an emerging production manager.

Whether dance, theatre, circus, music, performance, curatorial practice, or interdisciplinary formats: this theatre production course and training in Berlin equips you with essential tools for creative producing, funding, and cultural administration. Working with real-world case studies from our sister program CCA, you will accompany projects from initial concept and funding application to final presentation.

Regular tutorials with program leadership ensure personalized guidance and reflection. Additionally, the program connects you directly with established advisory and funding structures across the independent performing arts scene in Berlin and Europe.

Is this project management for artists course the right fit for you?

This program is an ideal creative producing and arts administration course for individuals who want to work professionally in production and project management within the performing or interdisciplinary arts.

We welcome applicants looking for more than just a single day-seminar—those seeking a format that connects all aspects of project management for artists in a clear, practical way while helping them develop their own tools and approaches.

You are a great fit for the program if you want to:

  • Refine and develop your organizational practice and approach as a producer or arts manager
  • Plan, apply funding for, and execute your own artistic projects or those of others
