General conditions of participation

1. Registration

1.1. Registration for a seminar, audition, introductory day

  • Registration for individual seminars, auditions and admission procedures as well as introductory days via our online form on our website senecaintensiv.de is a binding registration. Once you have submitted the application, SENECA INTENSIV regards it as legally binding.
  • After receipt of registration, we will send you a written confirmation by email, only then will you be entitled to participate.
  • After registration via the online form and confirmation from SENECA INTENSIV, an invoice will be sent by email. The registration process is completed with payment of the participation fee.
  • The number of participants in all seminars we hold is limited. Seminar places are booked in the order in which registrations are received.
  • The implementation of the seminars depends on reaching the respective minimum number of participants. Fees already paid will be refunded if the seminar is cancelled by SENECA INTENSIV.

1.2 Registration and signing of a contract for an educational program

  • Registration for one of our educational programs is only possible after verification of eligibility.
  • After consulting or completing and passing the admission process, the contract is concluded.
  • The contract is concluded by signing a participation agreement provided by SENECA INTENSIV. The signed participation contract must be submitted by post, email or in person to SENECA INTENSIV.
  • After the contract has been signed by both parties, there is a right to participate and the registration process is completed.
  • The number of participants in all educational programs we run is limited. Seats are occupied in the order in which contracts are received.
  • The implementation of educational programs depends on reaching the respective minimum number of participants. Fees already paid will be refunded if the seminar is cancelled by SENECA INTENSIV.

2. Participation fees

  • The participation fees are usually shown on our website and in our information material and are valid upon registration. All prices shown are final prices. Based on § 4 No. 21 a) bb) UStG, we do not collect any sales tax and therefore do not report it. The tax number at the Berlin tax office is: 27/612/05131
  • The participation fees must usually be transferred in one sum to the specified account 14 days after invoicing.
  • SENECA INTENSIV expressly reserves the right not to admit participants to the offer/ not to admit participants to the test/ not to hand over the certificate if payment is incomplete.
  • Funding regulated by state law with an education bonus, education check or qualification check, etc., is possible if SENECA INTENSIV receives the corresponding notification from the participant before the start of continuing education.

3. Transfer, cancellation, withdrawal

3.1 Transfer at a seminar

  • In the case of a seminar, you can name someone else instead of the registered participant who should participate, provided that they meet the participation requirements. You will not incur any additional costs as a result.

3.2 Cancellation

  • You can cancel your online registration by post or email.
  • You can cancel your online registration for an audition or an introductory day at any time free of charge, i.e. you will be completely exempted from payment of participation fees. Only the processing fees confirmed during online registration will be charged by SENECA INTENSIV after the 14-day right of withdrawal has expired.
  • If online registration for a seminar is cancelled up to four weeks before the start of the seminar, only the processing fees confirmed during online registration are to be paid. If online registration for a seminar is cancelled within two to four weeks before the start of the seminar, 50% of the participation fee and the processing fees confirmed during online registration must be paid. If you cancel within two weeks before the start of the seminar or if you do not attend the seminar, the full participation fees are due.
  • The receipt of the written cancellation by e-mail or by post by SENECA INTENSIV is decisive for compliance with the deadlines.
  • Irrespective of these regulations, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the online procedure. You have the right to cancel your online registration within fourteen days without giving reasons. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date of registration. In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw this registration with a clear statement. In any case, this must be done in writing by e-mail or by post.

3.3 Withdrawal from a funded measure

  • If funding is not or is no longer granted by the Job Center/Employment Agency for a funded measure, both the funded participant and SENECA INTENSIV are entitled to withdraw from the contract. The participant does not incur any costs as a result of the cancellation. The rejection or discontinuation of funding by the funding institution must be provided to SENECA INTENSIV.

4. Termination

  • All educational programs lasting several months can be terminated by the participant within a period specified in the participation contract for the educational program.
  • SENECA INTENSIV is entitled to cancel the contract with immediate effect if the participant has not paid the participation fee in due time.
  • The mutual right to extraordinary, immediate termination for good cause remains unaffected. Important reasons include in particular: frequent delay and absence of the participant for reasons relating to him/her; intentional damage or destruction of facilities and furnishings at the seminar venue; repeated disregard of instructions; pretending false or concealment of important facts in order to participate in an offer; defective performance by the participant despite admonitions; harassment, use of force or threats to SENSEN' staff ECA INTENSIVE or other participants; drug and alcohol use within the seminar location.
  • In any case, the termination must be made in writing by e-mail or by post.
  • In the event of extraordinary termination by SENECA INTENSIV for good cause, the participant must receive a warning in advance, combined with a reasonable period of time to remedy the breach of duty. There is no right to a refund of participation fees already paid or to waive any outstanding participation fee.

5. Cancellation and subject to change

  • As organizer, SENECA INTENSIV reserves the right, despite confirmation of registration, to cancel or postpone the offer at short notice if the specified minimum number of participants has not been reached by the planned date, the lecturer falls ill at short notice or force majeure (including, but not limited to, the following examples: war, earthquake, pandemic, epidemic, lightning). In this case, SENECA INTENSIV will immediately inform participants. In the event of a cancellation without replacement, participation fees already paid will of course be refunded. There is no entitlement to a new start date or other compensation. No further claims (travel expenses, telephone costs, etc.) can be made against SENECA INTENSIV.
  • Seneca intensive is entitled to make necessary content, methodological and organizational changes or deviations (e.g. due to legal changes) before or during the offer if the goal is not significantly affected for the participant.
  • Seneca intensive is entitled to replace the intended lecturers with other equally qualified lecturers if necessary (e.g. illness, accident).

6. Liability

  • SENECA INTENSIV assumes no liability for accidents and damage on the way to and from the place of instruction. Note: It is recommended to have accident insurance. Participation in individual seminars and short-term seminar series is at your own risk.
  • SENECA INTENSIV also assumes no liability for loss, damage or theft of objects of any kind. Please keep an eye on your valuables in the rooms.
  • The participant must immediately report the personal injury or property damage intensively to Seneca, giving details of the circumstances.
  • Any misuse of the teaching materials provided by SENECA INTENSIV may result in a claim for compensation by Seneca Intensiv or third parties.

8. Place of Fulfilment, Jurisdiction, Extrajudicial Online Dispute Resolution

  • The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the concluded contract is Berlin.
  • Under the link http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/, the European Commission provides a platform for extrajudicial online dispute resolution in accordance with Art. 14 paragraph 1 of EU Regulation No 524/2013. This platform offers consumers/participants the opportunity to resolve disputes in connection with their online booking/online order initially without the involvement of a court. 9. Data protection and data storage
