Movement, sound, transformation… the students of the educational years dance, physical theatre and voice present themselves in an interdisciplinary show. You can expect a powerful, multifaceted collage with impressive group pieces, intense solo performances, sprinkled with humor. Very poetic, a bit political, definitely physical!

It is with great pleasure, moderate confusion, and a certain unavoidable sense of denial that we stand before you here, today under these circumstances, which, as we should remind ourselves regularly, could be otherwise.

We have come together to address, to approach, and perhaps to circle gently around the question of… what exactly we are doing here. And while answers may or may not emerge, and clarity might remain respectfully at a distance, what truly matters is that we are willing to begin, to start, to initiate the possibility of maybe eventually..

A contemporary circus show dealing with the contemporary state of things and therefore unavoidably questioning itself. Presented by the students of the educational year circus under the direction of Emma Laule.

Educational Year Programs

Dancers train in contemporary dance during the Dance Foundation Year, an intensive pre-professional program and orientation year at the SENECA INTENSIV Dance Academy in Berlin.

August 24, 2026 to June 28, 2027

An intensive 10-month training program with a focus on contemporary dance. It focuses on technical and artistic development, creative research and targeted preparation for auditions.

Circus Training Program Berlin Educational Year Contemporary Circus Seneca Intensive

Contemporary Circus

This orientation year provides a solid basis for circus education. The focus is on acrobatics, aerial artistry and artistic creation as a springboard for a professional career in the international circus scene.

Theatre Education Berlin Educational Year Physical Theatre Seneca Intensiv

Physical Theatre

An in-depth introduction to physical theatre and movement-oriented acting. The participants explore non-verbal storytelling, ensemble work and masquerade playing within a professional artistic framework.

Movement and Voice Training Berlin Educational Year Dance & Singing Seneca Intensiv

August 24, 2026 to June 28, 2027

An interdisciplinary program that combines voice and movement. This course is aimed at performers who want to combine singing technique with physical expression for musical theatre and multidisciplinary productions.
