overview

The program Creation/Choreography/Authorship is an intensive format for artists from various disciplines who want to deepen their artistic practice and further develop their own signature.

It is aimed at people from the performing arts and related fields — from dance, theatre and circus to music, performance, curatorial practice or interdisciplinary formats.

The focus is on the question:

What is your artistic voice — and how do you bring it into the world?

The participants develop their own projects from the initial idea to the presentation and receive individual mentoring. At the same time, the program provides practical knowledge of conception, production and positioning in the independent scene.

Is it a fit?

This program is aimed at people who work or want to work in the field of performing or interdisciplinary arts.

Artists from the moving performing arts — dance, physical theatre, circus and performance — as well as from the fields of music, acting, directing, dramaturgy, curation, stage and costume design are welcome. Everyone who is interested in working with the body and choreographic means across disciplines, reflecting on their own practice and/or developing new formats are addressed.

You fit into the program if you:

  • would like to reflect on and further develop your artistic practice and attitude
  • want to design and implement your own projects
  • Looking for tools for production, project development and self-organization
  • want to connect yourself in the independent scene (Berlin/ Germany/ Europe)
