MOVE & TEACH is a modular dance pedagogy qualification program in Berlin. You earn your certificate by completing three modules – Dance Education: Didactics & Methods, Dance Education: Target Groups & Exchange, and Creation / Choreography / Authorship – followed by a final exam once all three modules are finished. You can complete the modules in the order listed below or arrange them flexibly to suit your life.
As part of SENECA INTENSIV, an established educational institution in Berlin-Marzahn, we create a space for reflection for artists and educators. Our goal is to prepare you for the complex demands of modern dance teaching concepts and to open up sustainable professional prospects for you in cultural education.
Includes:
The fundamentals of professional dance instruction: didactic thinking, methodological variety, and the development of a responsible teaching practice – from lesson planning to your own personal teaching style.
An interdisciplinary practical module for the independent performing arts scene: develop your own artistic voice and choreographic projects from initial concept to final presentation, supported by individual mentoring and practical insights into production and positioning.
Specialization in diversity and inclusion: You will learn to adapt dance instruction for different age groups and physical abilities—from children to seniors—and understand the psychological and physical factors that influence learning success.
