In this two-day workshop, Annika Hemmerling, circus artist and aerial acrobat, and Tomasz Bajsarowicz, civil engineer, industrial climber and rigger at Alizé, Cirque du Soleil Berlin, provide essential technical knowledge in the field of rigging. Theoretical knowledge is combined with practical application. The focus is on safe handling of rigging and safety technology.

Open and free of charge for Berlin artists from the performing arts sector.

Participants are enabled to work safely and effectively with rigging, which gives them not only safety but also more options and a wider variety of performances.

  • Understanding the different effects of forces on construction and the artist
  • the most important knots and material knowledge
  • Introduction to rope pulleys
  • Imparting knowledge to correctly formulate a technical rider
