MOVE & TEACH offers well-founded, modular dance education in Berlin. By completing the three modules - Dance Education: Didactics & Methods, Dance Education: Target Groups & Exchange and Creation/Choreography/Authorship - and taking exams, participants acquire a comprehensive certificate in dance teaching.

As part of SENECA INTENSIV, an established educational institution in Berlin-Marzahn, we are creating a space for artists and teachers to reflect. The aim is to prepare for the complex requirements of modern dance teaching concepts and to open up sustainable career prospects in cultural education.

Possible fields of work

This program is aimed at freelancers and professionals from the fields of dance, circus, physical theatre/movement theatre as well as art and movement education.

Dance education graduates work in a wide range of sectors:‍

Early childhood education: daycare centers and preschools.
education system: schools, universities and specialized academies.
Culture & community: Youth centers, museums and projects for older people.
Professional area: dance companies, ensembles and private dance studios.
Special facilities: Museums, theatre education and care for the elderly.

Qualification Components

The certification includes the completion of the three advanced programs and the associated exams. If you participate consecutively, the qualification takes approx. 13 months. To optimally adapt to your life situation, you can also complete the programs flexibly with breaks.
